Assignment 21

           The thing I love the most is soccer. I like it a lot because it is just so much fun and even though its competitive, I like that because I want to win all the time, but I don't trash talk at all. I have been playing soccer ever since I was 5 so I have been playing for 11 years and my dad was the one who got me into it in the first place. He played soccer as well and he was really good so he taught me how to play and I have been playing ever since, even my brother and sister played soccer so our family played soccer I guess it was just in our blood.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      My brother also taught me a lot of stuff and thats how I always got better because a lot of people said I got really good soccer. I made All-Stars when I was 15 and I doing really good and having so much fun with all my friends on the soccer team just like traveling to places and hanging out with each other. Thats where I know most of my friends today is from playing soccer and meeting them on my team so if it wasn't for soccer I wouldn't have know all the friends I have.

Career day

     For me career day was very helpful for me telling great examples and tips on how to get jobs and how to dress for job interviews.
     The one that I liked the most probably was the one where they make 3d art and actually print 3D stuff out of a printer.
     There was none that i really didn't like the only thing that sucked was we didn't get to hear our first speaker.
     My career goal is to become a computer designer because I love working with computers and everything about them.
     I am not working right now but I am pretty sure I will be getting a job during the summer hopefully at the fair, but I'm not sure as what yet.
     After I graduate high school I want to go to OCC, at first I was thinking of taking a year off and then going to OCC, but I think I'm going to go after I graduate right away to figure out what kind of career i want in life and what i want to do in my life.

3 wishes

     If i got to have 3 wishes about anything the first thing I would wish for would to be a billionaire. I would wish for that because you would have all the money you will ever need and wouldn't have to work at all and you can buy a lot of stuff that you want that you couldn't before. You would be living a pretty easy life if you were rich and probably could help out other people.

     For my 2nd wish i would wish for to have a house in Hawaii right by the beach. That would be so nice to have because Hawaii is just such a beautiful place to live in and having the beach right next to you is so convenient so that you could go there everyday or whenever you wanted to.

     For my 3rd wish I would wish about would have to be to meet all the famous actors in the world because I love watching movies and it would be nice to meet a lot of them, but most of all I like all the funny actors because those are my favorite kind of movies

Laura's House

     In the assembly today what i heard and saw today was pretty disturbing. I am not sure why people choose to beat other people for stupid reason and why they get so insecure about things. Makes me question relationships and would you know if someone is crazy or not that they would hurt you just to make sure you stay with them.
   
     For one thing I know that I would never hit a girl ever, its just not right at all and just shows no respect to who you are. In a relationship its good to have control but you need to share equally, like if she can't do something than maybe you shouldn't be able to do it either so its fair because to much control is not good.
 
     When she was talking about how this happens all the time on a daily bases it made me feel kinda sad for those people who just got beat on because i can't imagine what they are going through. I  kind of understand why some of the girls don't leave their boyfriends for whatever situation they are in wether its they are scared, confused, they feel bad for their boyfriend, or or they have no choice.

     I like how she is trying to help people who have those kinds of problems in their life and showing that she cares a lot. It is weird how the media doesn't care about the domestic violence, but if it was someone famous you would hear it everywhere.

Assignment 22

The blog that I am writing about is about the Lakers. I chose that one because I like watching basketball and the Lakers are my favorite team. The blog basically shows you all the recent news thats going on in the lakers or whats happening. It gives dates for when they play, who is injured or had an injury, and how they are doing and shows updates who's going to be traded or if they are a free agent.

 I think that the government needs to find a way to stop kids from getting drugs because a lot of kids get in trouble for that and waste their money on it. Kids start using drugs and then some just love doing them and they try even more dangerous drugs that make you go crazy and later on they will end up homeless because they are going to use all their money just to get the drugs. Most  kids these days smoke and they end up getting expelled from school and don't see their friends anymore or end up running away from home because they do not want to get in big trouble for what they did. Drugs can do some damage to your body and your brain too, but cigarettes are really bad for you because at first doesn't seem like it and your just addicted, but later on it can do serious, serious damage. It's bad because little kids are influenced by their siblings and if they see them smoking they think its cool so they want to try it and it just ruins society. Also alcohol ruins a lot of things because you can get addicted to drinking and if you drink and drive thats how a lot of accidents happen now and people get drunk and don't know what they are even doing.

My happiest place on earth

The happiest place on earth for me would have to be Hawaii. I love it there a lot and i'm going there again this summer, there is just so much to do there as in activities and places to go and go long hikes that take hours, but at the end its worth it to see the beautiful view of the mountains and water all over. All the places you can see and go to are so amazing and i haven't even been to all of them yet and they have good food, the weather is really great, and all the islands are nice except one which just looks like your in the cities. I really love Hawaii just because the environment is so nice and soothing there that its so easy to relax there and go to the beach every day if you wanted to and the people that live there are so nice, mellow, and are very easy to get along with.

Assignment 14

The one place where I would want to go is Hawaii in the island called Kauai. I would go there because I have been there and it is such a beautiful place, amazing, and nice. They have a lot of activities you can do there like you can go zip lining which is really amazing. Even though it rains every now and then when its sunny its amazing to go to the beach.

Another one is you can go on a ATV tour/adventure they do this in the summer time and they give some nice views of places and some facts of how things were and there is a waterfall during there that you can swim in.

You can go to a Luau which is really cool and fun to go to. There you can get all the food you want once you pay to get in and they do cool dances and shows that tell stories.

Assignment 18

The Make-A-Wish Foundation gives joy and strength to the kids who have threatening medical conditions. They try to make the kids dream come true no matter what it is.

             I chose this foundation because they have it at my school and it is just really nice they are trying to make kid's dreams come true that have threatening medical conditions. They only grant a wish to kids who have medical conditions or placed a child's life in jeopardy and i think that is really nice how they are giving these kids a chance to live their dream.

              I also chose this one because they help connect to the kids in their own way and just try to find their best wish and i just think thats nice how they have someone to spend time with kinds because they have no one to be with and they just want someone there with them.

Assignment 13

Over my spring break I hung out with my friends a lot. I went to Universal Studios with my friends and family it was really fun and i love all the shows and rides they have and we went to the movies as well.

 For the most time over spring break i just stayed home, played games, and went to this one party. Me my sister, Mom, and Dad went to the horse races it was fun and it was a special event where they had 99 different food trucks, loud music, and a jumper for little kids. So my Dad and I were having fun and the whole family was betting and we got pretty lucky because that day we won 120 dollars. The next day we just rented movies and stayed home and made popcorn, we saw the movie Fast 5 and Puss in boots they were both really good movies.The best day of my spring break I would have to say would be Sunday because on that day me my friend and my family went to the Laker's game to watch them play Dallas at the Staples Center, it was so much fun and they had a lot of cool stuff and great food.

Assignment 17

I do not smoke cigarettes because at first it may not do anything bad, but over time you will pay the consequences that are not good. My Dad use to smoke when i was younger, but her made a good decision and decided to quit smoking so he could become healthy. My reasons for not smoking are that it can cause bad damage to your lungs and can make a hole close to where your throat is and so i just want to stay healthy. My opinion on smoking is that you shouldn't be smoking because it is really bad for you and you don't look cool for doing it or anything, because overall later in life you will regret smoking for all the damage it has caused and its hard to quit.

Assignment 16

I am so surprised that they spent 460 billion dollars on crimes that go on in Louisiana also I didn't know that 2011 was the most peaceful year in the U.S for about 20 years. I am also surprised about almost half of the forcible rapes are in prison. I think I would consider living in Maine if you wanted a safe environment for your kids and family and didn't want to worry about much trouble, but california still isn't a bad place to live at all. I was Mostly shocked how New York improved the most peacefulness since 1991 considering New York is really loud and a really big place to live in.

Assignment 9 - Dream school

          The school I would attend would be Cal State Long Beach. I would study maybe some type of class that does computer programming or Crime Scene Investigation because that looks really interesting, or computer designing. I want to go there because I have visited that school before, my sister use to go there so I went there for her graduation and i saw a lot of the stuff there that i liked and I have been wanting to go there ever since I went. My sister says that it is a great school, really nice, and its awesome if you stay there.

Assignment 5

      So far my time here at Back Bay High School has been pretty good. I really like this school a lot by how we get out early and the lunch here is good too. There're some classes they have here that most schools don't have and they are cool and a good learning experience. Also I like how we get no homework, so we do most of the work in class I think its much better. My least favorite things that i don't like here are that they don't have that much of a food variety and that not all of my friends are here that I want. I will probably miss getting out early and having no homework the most, but also some of the new friends that i made at this school. I wish that at all schools their food would be good but they aren't and i don't know why. I am coming back next year but probably only for a month and then I am going back to CMHS. So I am looking forward to some new classes that Mesa doesn't have that Back Bay has to offer.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Most of the new classes or gonna be in the science department like electrical science that sounds really cool and can teach how to save money.

Assignment 10

My name is Chris Ramirez, I'm 16 years old, and I am a Junior. I live in Costa Mesa, California. My favorite hobby to do is play soccer with all my friends. One of the goals in my life is to be very successful and to own my own business.

Assignment 3 - favorite food

My favorite thing is food. I love food a lot and so does my family, I will eat pretty much anything but sushi or fish. I like eating all the time because for me I don't feel like i'm full so i just keep eating. I think my favorite food is cheeseburgers I always like getting those at restaurants or wherever else because usually they are really good and they fill me up easily.

I would say my second favorite food is pasta because it is so good with all the different sauces you can put, also it will also hit the spot if you're really hungry. Also most restaurants serve really good pasta so thats the good side about liking that food.
